Watch: Jackie Young finds out she’s back on Team USA

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (WFIE) – The kid from Princeton is representing the USA once again at the Olympics – this time in Paris.

As we told you, Jackie Young made the roster for Team USA’s Olympic 5×5 squad.

Now, USA Basketball has shared video of the moment Young found out and got her new Team USA jersey.

Some tears were shed as Young hugged her teammates.

“This is something you dream of as a little girl, you know? Just honored and blessed, you know, to represent our country. You know, this is a dream come true,” said Young.

Young is a two-time All-Star who helped earn the Las Vegas Aces back-to-back championships in 2022 and 2023.

She was on the first team to win an Olympic gold medal in women’s 3×3 basketball at Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.

Young attended Princeton Community High School, where she finished as the leading scorer (girls or boys) in Indiana high school basketball history with 3,268 points and led her team to a stretch of 53 consecutive wins.
