Former world No. 1 Jason Day will spearhead the Australian challenge at the US Masters 2024 when the season’s first Major golf tournament tees off at the Augusta National on Thursday.

The 88th edition of the US Masters will see 89 players, including six Australian golfers, in action. Live streaming will be available in Australia.

Jason Day, 21st in the men’s golf rankings, will be looking for his second Major title. He won the 2015 PGA Championship and was the runner-up at the Masters in 2011.

The 36-year-old Day arrives in Augusta on the back of three top-10 finishes to his name so far this year. He has been paired with American heavyweights and former world number ones Tiger Woods and Max Homa for the first two rounds at the Masters.

Adam Scott, the only Australian golfer to have won the Masters 11 years ago, is also in the entry list. The 43-year-old Scott is ranked world No. 53 and has finished inside the top 20 five times this year.

Min Woo Lee (world No. 32), Cameron Davis (world No. 62), Cameron Smith (world No. 68) and amateur Jasper Stubbs, making his Masters debut, are the other four Australians in the fray.

Defending champion Jon Rahm of Spain, American golfers Scottie Scheffler (world No.1) and Brooks Koepka (2023 runner-up) are some of the top names competing at the US Masters 2024, which concludes on Sunday.
