Tiger Woods predictions: Masters picks and prop bets for golf icon at Augusta

Must read

All eyes will be on Tiger Woods, the five-time Masters champion, as he tees off on Thursday at Augusta National to pursue his sixth green jacket.

During the third round of the 2023 Masters, Woods withdrew from the tournament due to a foot injury; something Woods has dealt with throughout his career. In his first PGA Tour event back, Woods withdrew from the 2024 Genesis Invitational due to flu-like symptoms.

Despite speculation about Woods’ health, he has been candid about his belief that he can win again at Augusta National.

“If everything comes together, I think I can get one more. Do I need to describe that any more than that, or are we good?” Woods said to reporters Tuesday.

The 2024 Masters will be Tiger Woods’ 26th appearance. Here are the best prop bets on him at Augusta National, according to BetMGM.

Tiger Woods Masters predictions

BetMGM: Woods to finish in the top 40

Ryan Hannable writes for BetMGM: “Given how little Woods plays, it’s hard to expect much from him any time he tees it up. Top 20 may be too high, so if playing anything at all on Woods, it would be to finish inside the top 40. There are only 89 players in the field, so this is basically to be in the top half.”

Golf Channel: Results mostly depend on Woods’ health

Notah Begay III writes: “He can play the golf, and we always knew the question mark was going to be can he walk the 72, that’s still up in the air, but can he recover from one round to the next. That’s the biggest question that I really don’t know and he’s not going to know, either, until he gets out there and figures out if the way he’s prepared for this year’s Masters is going to work for him.”

CBS Sports: Mickelson over Tiger

Patrick McDonald writes: “We have only seen Woods play 25 holes this year, so it’s tough to have any sense of confidence about his form and makes me believe Mickelson will have the upper hand this year. Both players will use their extensive experience to their advantage to make their way into the weekend, but neither will seriously be a factor.”

Tiger Woods Masters Prop Bets

Odds as of Wednesday, according to BetMGM.

Tiger Woods win The Masters outright: +12500

During the tournament press conference, Tiger Woods became emotional while discussing his participation in this year’s Masters as he begins his pursuit of another green jacket. It’s been 29 years since Woods first played at Augusta National at the age of 19 in 1995.

Tiger Woods finish in the top 5: +2200 / Tiger Woods finish in the top 10: +900

Out of his 25 appearances at The Masters, he has had top 5 finishes 12 times. In 2020 and 2022, Woods was placed at the 10th position through the first 18 holes.

Tiger Woods to Make the Cut: +110

Woods has an impressive history of making the cut at Augusta. He shares the record with Fred Couples and Gary Player for the most consecutive Masters cuts made at 23. This year, only 89 golfers are playing, so his chances of making the cut look promising.

Tiger Woods to finish in top 40: -115

It is widely believed that Tiger Woods can finish within the top 40 positions in a golf tournament, provided he maintains good health throughout the four rounds. In 2020, Woods managed to secure a T38 position. While in 2022, he placed 47th after his first return to the game following a life-threatening car accident.

Tiger Woods to shoot 72 or lower in all four rounds: +1600

Tiger Woods has shot 72 or better across four rounds nine times at The Masters in his career.
