A new NFL report has come out that there are already being moves made to get the Chiefs to go across state lines and out of Kansas City. Per the Kansas City Star, there are efforts being made at this very moment to bring one or even both of the teams across the state lines and into Kansas. The former Kansas House Speaker Ron Ryckman Jr. said that he working with “mystery stakeholders” to move the Chiefs out of Kansas City.

“Jackson County fumbled. Now there will be a mad scramble for the ball, and we’re in the best position for a scoop and score,” Ryckman told The Star.

Ron is not the only political figure to start whispering about a move, as the Dallas Mayor also chimed in and convince the Chiefs to make a comeback to Texas.

This all started with the Kansas City Chiefs announcing plans of renovation to their stadium, which would likely cost  $800 million. This was contingent upon the vote that ended up not going in their favor after 58% of voters went against them.

“I’m sure we would love to have them because they’re our teams, right?” Kansas House Majority Leader Chris Croft said. “But at the same time, we want to make sure we’re doing the right thing for the state of Kansas.”

While it is unlikely for the team to actually relocate given they are in the middle of a dynasty, this is now a real story after the vote not working in Clark Hunt’s favor. Do not be surprised if there are reports of real threats coming soon.
