Moldauer, Bock wins all-around gold, silver at 2024 Pacific Rim Championships • USA Gymnastics

The U.S. dominated Day 1 of artistic competition in Colombia with Yul Moldauer and Cameron Bock winning all-around gold and silver and athletes moving on to multiple finals at the 2024 Pacific Rim Championships in Cali.

CALI, Colombia (April 26, 2024) – The U.S. dominated Day 1 of artistic competition in Colombia with Yul Moldauer (Arvada, Colo./5280 Gymnastics) and Cameron Bock (Tustin, Calif./University of Michigan) winning all-around gold and silver and athletes moving on to multiple finals at the 2024 Pacific Rim Championships in Cali.

Moldauer was consistent on Friday night to win the all-around title with a combined 84.600. His winning score was bolstered by solid scores on parallel bars (14.800), floor exercise (14.550), vault (14.250), still rings (14.150), pommel horse (13.450) and horizontal bar (13.400). He qualified to all apparatus finals save pommel horse and vault. Bock claimed all-around silver right behind Moldauer with an 84.150. Rene Cournoyer of Canada won bronze with an 80.750 despite Kai Uemura (Chicago, Ill./Lakeshore Academy of Art Gymnastics) posting the third highest score of the night with an 80.800 due to the two-per-country limitation.

Moldauer was top qualifier on rings (14.150), parallel bars (14.800) and floor (14.550) and fourth qualifier on high bar (13.400). Bock qualified in second to the pommel horse (14.550), high bar (13.750) and parallel bars (14.550) finals and took the third spot on rings (13.450). Caden Clinton (Houston, Texas/Cypress Academy of Gymnastics) advanced to the pommel horse final in third with a 13.500 and Uemura in fourth to the floor final with a 13.400.

In junior competition, Danila Leykin (Sarasota, Fla./EVO Gymnastics) qualified to finals on each apparatus he competed on, taking the first spot on pommel horse (13.450) and parallel bars (13.500) and the second spot on high bar (13.350).

Team winners will be announced on Sunday along with all other awards. The U.S. women take the floor in Colombia Saturday at 8 p.m. ET in Subdivision 3. The competition will continue to stream live on the Colombian Gymnastics Federation’s Facebook page. Results can be accessed here.
