Mass. has one of top 5 indoor water parks in the U.S., according to USA Today readers

Families can splash and play year round at indoor water parks across the nation, and one of the very best is in Massachusetts, according to USA Today readers.

Great Wolf Lodge, billed as North America’s largest family of indoor water park resorts, was named among the 10 best indoor water parks in America by USA Today readers on Wednesday, part of its 2024 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. It ranked No. 5 on the list.

“Whether it’s snowing, raining, or just too hot to play outside, indoor water parks offer an opportunity for a splashing good time no matter the weather or season,” wrote USA Today.

Here is what the publication wrote about Great Wolf Lodge, which has a location in Fitchburg:

Great Wolf Lodge Resorts is a chain of indoor water park resorts located in the United States and Canada. The resorts’ water parks include indoor and seasonal outdoor activities such as tube rides, wave pools, waterslides, hot tubs, and surfing simulators.

The water park, kept at 84 degrees year round, isn’t the only attraction at the Massachusetts resort, which opened in 2014. There’s an immersive MagiQuest adventure game, restaurants, an arcade, climbing wall, mini golf, and more. A second location will open in New England in 2025.
