Hereford native & former Texas Tech WR named to USA Flag Football Team

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – Ja’Deion High, a native of Hereford and former Texas Tech wide receiver, has secured his spot on the 12-man final roster for USA Football’s U.S. Men’s Flag Football National Team. Ja’Deion will represent the United States in international competition this summer at the Flag Football World Championships in Finland.

Ja’Deion graduated from Hereford High School in 2013. He went on to play football at Texas Tech from 2013-2018. He rounded out his career at Tech with an outstanding senior season. He was the second-leading receiver that season after appearing in all 12 games, including nine starts. He recorded career highs with 62 receptions for 804 yards and four touchdowns. He was a nominee for the Burlsworth Trophy, given to the nation’s top player who began his career as a walk-on.

The final 12-athlete U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams were decided following a multi-day training camp conducted at the United State Performance Center on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from May 30-June 1.

There will be a second training camp for the U.S. National Teams from July 25-28 back in Charlotte to prepare for international competition.

The 2024 International Federation of American Football (IFAF) Flag Football World Championship with be in Lahti, Finland from August 27-30.
