(WSAW) – Cole Caufield will be representing the Stars and Stripes this summer. The Stevens Point native and Montreal Canadiens wing will play for Team USA at the IIHF World Championships this summer.
Caufield, 23, has represented his country before on the international stage. He helped Team USA win gold at the World Juniors back in 2021, netting two goals over the course of the tournament.
Caufield just wrapped up his professional season with Montreal, finishing second on the team in goals (28) and points (65).
The World Championships begin on May 10 in the Czech Republic.
