Bangladesh leave for USA-West Indies T20 World Cup

In the early hours of Thursday, the Bangladesh cricket team departed for the USA to participate in the T20 World Cup, set to commence on June 2 in the USA and the West Indies.


The 17-member squad, led by Najmul Hossain Shanto, includes two reserve players and the coaching staff left for Dallas, USA, to begin their campaign.

The Tigers are scheduled to play three T20I matches against the USA on May 21, 23, and 25 before kicking off their World Cup campaign against Sri Lanka on June 8.



Bangladesh has been placed in Group D of the World Cup, alongside Sri Lanka, Nepal, South Africa, and the Netherlands.

The top two teams from each of the four groups will advance to the Super Eights.
